Emergency Programme Manager Assistant position with MADERA (100 Views)

MADERA is a French NGO implementing humaniterian aid programs in Afghanistan since 1988. MADERA was registered with Ministry of Economic of Afghanistan in No. 199, 1/2/2006. MADERA implements rural development projects in various fields (Agriculture, Animal Health, Forestry, Horticulture, Civil Engineering, Handicraft, Community Driven Development etc.) in 5 provinces: Wardak, Kunar, Laghman, Nuristan and Ghor. MADERA’s headquarter is located in Kabul while MADERA is also represented at regional and provincial levels through several offices and sub-offices. Finally MADERA general delegation is based in France (Paris).

Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY
Assist the Emergency Programme Manager and the Emergency Programme team for the implementation of the programmes in Wardak province

Duties and Resposibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Domain of responsibility 1: facilitate the communication between the bases and the Emergency Programme Manager
- translation of documents
- direct interpretation Dari – English and English - Dari
- upon request, write up emails, facilitate phone calls and relay information from base to Emergency PM

Domain of responsibility 2: Assist the PM in the follow up and monitoring of programme activities
- participate in the elaboration and follow up of technical staff action plans
- contribute to the writing of weekly report on programme activities and progress compared to plan
- computerize the data collected in the field by the site engineers for activity follow up
- computerize the data collected in the field by the social organizers for M and E unit – upon request
- accompany the Emergency Programme Manager on field visits

Qualification

REQUIREMENT AND SKILLS:

• High School diploma, English certificate
• Dari mother tongue COMPULSORY
• Fluency in written, spoken and read English COMPULSORY
• Fluency in Microsoft Word and Excel COMPULSORY
• Knowledge of the Behsud area a strong advantage
• Experience in programme management and synthesizing information is an asset
• 1 year work experience
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a remote area
• Honesty, reliability, flexibility
