State Corps is D/B Construction firm working with US Army Corps of Engineers all over Afghanistan, managing and executing multiple ANSF and MILCON projects in multiple locations of Afghanistan.Job Summary
Under direct supervision of the QC department manager, the incumbents will be responsibly running the QC system including QC planning, communications, tracking of tests and deficiencies, and preparation of submittals in accordance to project and company requirements.Duties and Resposibilities
-Be responsible for maintaining records relating to testing data, and applying statistical quality control procedures.-Site QC Manager is responsible for following up the meetings including (Weekly Progress, Coordination meeting Agenda and minutes, Three Phase Control Inspection Documents)
-Site QC Manager is responsible for preparing Technical specification’s section numbers and titles for each definable feature of work in order to conduct three phase inspection at site with LNQA.
-Preparing Meeting Agenda 72 hours before for project’s Weekly meetings and having back meeting minutes after 12 hours meeting conducted
-Tracking QC Deficiencies from site and preparing a Corrective action plan in order to convince the client
-Having Capability of convincing power to make approve and get recommendation response quicker from Client
-Providing and preparing of QC Daily Reports and Coordinating QCS Support Operators in order to have all Daily reports and other data up to date in RMS
-Capable to solve their Conflicts and Issues at site
-Collecting Maintaining and submitting test reports to office for further reports through QCS/RMS
-Attending Pre-Construction, Mutual Understanding and other required meetings with client at anytime.
-Coordinating with executive level staff if decision should be conformed
-Responsible for checking material arrived to the site as per approved one.
-Assure, to the best of your abilities that all materials, workmanship and construction are in full compliance with the contract plans and specifications, and all applicable building codes.
-Manage the quality control organization to control the quality of products (aggregates, additives, asphalt, and concrete) before and during manufacture and at site using a variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality and to minimize costs and achieve optimum quality and efficiency for the company.
-Direct and coordinate activities of the ready mix, asphalt, aggregates quality control group within the division.
-Lead organization in selecting products for tests at specified stages in production process and tests products for variety of qualities, such as performance, strength, and chemical characteristics.
-Lead organization in the testing and monitoring of products to ensure factors such as adhesion, hardness and strength are met
-Perform inspections as needed. Prepare and maintain inspection and performance records daily.
-Hold daily preparatory meetings with subcontractors and all concerned parties as needed to define QC and safety policies and procedures with each newly definable feature of work.
Qualification
1.BSc in Civil engineering2.Must have completed Construction Quality Management for Contractors Training.
3.Minimum 3 years of experience as a quality control engineer involved in US Army Corps of Engineers projects.
4.Able to communicate and in oral and written English and local languages.
5.Able to operate basics of QCS Software
