About State Corps
State Corps is D/B Construction firm working with US Army Corps of Engineers all over Afghanistan, managing and executing multiple ANSF and MILCON projects in multiple locations of Afghanistan.Job Summary
Under direct supervision of the Project Management department, the incumbents will be responsibly running the Site Construction system including planning, communications & other company requirements.Duties and Resposibilities
•Site manager is responsible for technical activities and supervising the Site time by time.•Create the teams, develop the objectives/goals of each and assign individual responsibilities.
•Implement the work in accordance with approved plans / drawings and specifications.
•Supervise from the progression of the work on site and Ensures successful execution and supervision of on-site activities.
•Provide a guide Program for technical staff for project activities.
•Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking if team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project
•Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule.
•Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
•Ensure project documents are complete.
•Directs and trains workers on various work items.
•Monitors field variations and keep the Project Manager informed of these changes.
Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to the Main Office.
•Ensures materials and equipment received meet contract specifications and are properly inventoried and stored.
•Provides additional oversight for safety and quality.
•Works closely with the PM and QC to develop and maintain the quality checklists, registers, logs and other tracking and monitoring tools
•Other activities as required from time to time.
•Keep up tracking of all ongoing Construction Activities at the site, and make sure that construction work is in progress as per Schedule and will be completed on time.
Qualification
1. At least Bs degree in civil engineering (Higher degrees and/or degrees in business and management are preferred);2. Minimum 3 years experience in construction management of USACE projects as a project manager;
3. Having US Army work experience certificates candidate will be preferred;
4. Must be familiar Microsoft Office and Ms Project (Primavera is preferred);
5. Must be excellent at English and local languages;
7. Have the ability to work for long hours and under pressure; and
8. Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
