Considering the present situation of Afghanistan and keeping in mind the role of education and the millennium development goals (MDGs) and in the Afghan National Development Strategy (ANDS), education is one of the most important goals of the government Islamic republic of Afghanistan (GIRA) in private and public sector.


In response to the increasingly rising demand for high quality education in Afghanistan, and the development and delivery of capacity building and enhancement courses for different entities, ALFALA Institute of Higher Education is established in 2011 as of private higher education in Afghanistan.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, Head of Financial Operations will be responsible for the managing of day to day operations of the finance department. He/She will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, preparation of annual budget, and oversight on all finance and accounting department.

Duties and Resposibilities

• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Reconciling bank statements with record books
• Preparation of management accounts
• Perform financial duties including accounting & record keeping along with reporting to the investors and donors per their requirements
• Manage donor Contracts, including Modifications & Contracts-related Legal work
• Ensure the overall implementation of ALFALAH’s Financial/Administrative policy and procedure.
• Facilitate external/internal audits and prepare Annual Budget
• Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Qualification

MBA-Finance/MS-Economics/ACCA
