Job Summary

Based in Kabul;

Duties and Resposibilities

1)Finance responsibilities:

a)Accurately input all data provided from OXUS Branches into the financial software and produce appropriate monthly expenditure reports;
b)Conduct regular cash reconciliations with the cashier weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual;
c)Conduct reconciliations between the accounting and the loan tracking software;
d)Conduct monthly bank reconciliations;
e)Track all fixed assets, maintain proper inventory lists, and conduct regular amortization of these assets according to Afghan laws and OXUS Afghanistan policies;
f)Maintain strong cash management checks, including budgeting and projections, to ensure the liquidity of the organization;
g)Ensure to respect the current procedures of OXUS Afghanistan in all transactions;
h)Supervise cashier, check daily cash count report, manual cash books;
i)To maintain bank book;
j)Conduct monthly reconciliations between the accounting and loan tracking software; make sure of the correctness of the data entered by users;

2)Operational Responsibilities

•Daily consolidation reporting:

-Store the data in the server accordingly to its classification;
-Make sure they have received all the branches PAR and Delinquent reports ;
-Consolidate these reports in one PAR report and one Delinquent report;
-Update the “evolution sheets” for each branch;

•For the weekly disbursement report:

-Update the last weekly report with the effective disbursements of the past week with disbursement; report received from the branches;


•For the monthly report:

-Extract data from Octopus needed by the management for the monthly reports;

Qualification

a.Afghan National;
b)A Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics;
c)Understanding of financial statements and financial analysis;
d)1 to 2 years experience in finance or Accounting;
e)Good knowledge of double entry-accounting;
f)Advanced computer skills;
g)Fluency in English and Dari with strong written and verbal communication skills in both language;
