Job Summary

a) The National BLiSS facilitator will ensure that partner NGO group facilitators will successfully conduct training among groups in Afghanistan.
b) The National BLiSS facilitator will facilitate BLiSS trainings and identify future BLiSS trainers in the community.
c) The National BLiSS facilitator will travel with the National BLiSS Project Manager/their representatives during country-wide trainings and follow-up.

Duties and Resposibilities

a) The National BLiSS facilitator will produce regular English and Dari narrative, statistical reports about status and needs of the BLiSS groups throughout Afghanistan.
b) The National BLiSS facilitator will engage and advise change in project plans and formulate them into a proposal using the Op Mercy format.
c) The National BLiSS facilitator will facilitate regular BLiSS project reviews.
d) The National BLiSS facilitator will ensure that training & administration tasks are done with excellence.
e) The National BLiSS facilitator will ensure good communication with the Kabul regional office and all partner agencies.
f) The National BLiSS facilitator will facilitate relationship between government and non-government Organization and introduce Birth Life Saving Skills program to them to get their partnership.

Qualification

Profile of National BLiSS Facilitator:

Non-negotiable:
Very good inter personal skills, ability to express her thoughts clearly and teach other as well as being teachable, friendly, kind and able to communicate and be with non-literate people, long-term vision for the work with Op Mercy, firm and able to guide groups in a diplomatic way, good Dari and English (written and spoken), basic computer skills, able to travel 3-4 days weekly to the villages outside Kabul city, in the Kabul province, able to travel to exposure and training events outside Kabul Province, 12th grade school education, able to travel to exposure and training events outside Kabul Provence.


Negotiable:
Pashto language and work experience in group facilitation, teachers training, preferably married, decent respected appearance;
