Job Summary

The Program Officer is an important member of the S-RADP provincial level, under direct supervision of the Sangin Team Leader, the Program Officer responsible for ensuring S-RADP goals and objectives are achieved in a timely and effective manner. S/he shall have extensive experience designing and overseeing all Agribusiness and Community Strengthening program components including Mainstreaming Strategy of the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (DAIL). The Agribusiness Program Officer shall serve as the direct link to district and local government and the communities where S-RADP is implementing, particularly the Directorate of Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, at the provincial and district level. S/he is required to have in-depth knowledge of the social, economic, political, and religious aspects of the province in which he/she works. Principal duties include.

Duties and Resposibilities

-Assist the District Team Leader with management issues for program, including finance, logistics, admin/ HR, and field.
-Conduct planning for each targeted district and village of the program where in Program are ongoing.
-To ensure proper coordination of travel and interaction with DAIL, as required.
-Assist to monitor program activities according to pre-determined objectives and compile data from the field into meaningful reports.
-Support, supervise and provide necessary guidance to field staff.
-Check quality of work of the Field Staff and assist his/her to improve his/her quality of work.
-Get the necessary data and prepare daily & weekly report of the targeted district.
-Provide necessary training to Program Officer.
-Obtain the necessary information with regards to Petitions request in assigned and targeted Districts.
-Monitor and help the Data Entry Officers and take the daily report from them.
-Assist in the implementation of the plan of action, participate review achievements and constraints, and provide feedback accordingly;
-Assist Team Leader with management issues for program, including finance, logistics, admin, and field.
-Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualification

-High school graduated is required; University graduate is preferred.
-Knowledge of USAID projects is desirable.
-Understanding of international NGO standards and procedures
-2-3 years of experience is essential.
-Minimum 1 year of progressively senior/ responsible administrative experience over all,
-Working experience with International Organizations and/or NGO
-General experience of office and administration procedures.
