The position of Director’s Assistant is a challenging role that will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to develop new skills and harness existing skills. The job will involve acting as an intermediary and translator to an Expat director who is based between our U.S.A, Dubai and Afghanistan offices. The position will require long hours, travel to Dubai and supporting the Directors position and duties whilst out of the country. Excellent command of the English language as well as Pashto and Dari is paramount. Communication skills are crucial for representing the director whilst absent, and implementing directives. Overall knowledge of the business and staff will be necessary, but will be taught as ongoing role development is the key to improvement. Understanding the values and direction of the company will also be vital, as the role will involve helping coordinate current changes and growth being undergone by the company. It is a highly rewarding position that will grow the candidate with the company. The Corporate Director is responsible for communication and policies group-wide, so the position offers experience in not only logistics, but also procurement, construction, marketing and agriculture.Duties and Resposibilities
To provide daily administrative and communication support to the Corporate Director• To assist as necessary with the director of any department on behalf of the Corporate Director
• To assist in organizing meetings and the diary of the Corporate Director
• Be familiar with program budgets — and provide advice to the Corporate Director where possible
• Ensure directives are coordinated efficiently and to the requirements of the Corporate Director.
• To assist advisers in talking to local populations.
• To assist in the planning and organizing of field trips.
• Perform any assignment given by Corporate Director.
• Update health program files every week and make sure contracts, modification and budgets are available in the file.
• Provide more support in terms of logistics and drug management to
• Keep a close record of income letters and outgoing letters and events.
• Actively take part in coordination of transport, security clearance, and air tickets with log and admin departments
• Carry out any other duties as directed by immediate supervisor.
Qualification
Prior experience in basic office administration and office purchases.Graduate of high school.
Good common sense and initiative.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Strong capacity building and facilitation skills.
Knowledge of MS Office Lotus Notes and Emailing
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong skills in oral and written English, Farsi and Pashto
Strong organizational and management skills.
Ability to work with international staff and in a cross-cultural environment.
Supervision and Reporting
Director assistant will report to and be supervised by the Company Operations.
Duration of Assignment:
The period of performance of the Director Assistant will be negotiated. This assignment may be extended or determine without any further extension of contract with person.
