EQUIP is committed to have a qualified Gender Officer in order to contribute to the mainstreaming of gender and reducing gender-disparity in EQUIP support programs namely schools, social mobilization network, teacher education, infrastructure development system and planning on both national and sub-national levels.The Gender Officer will be based in EQUIP head quarter in Kabul with visits to provinces. The Gender Officer will report to the Gender Coordinator and will be responsible for the following:
Assist Gender Coordinator in preparation of plans for the Gender unit and its application.
Communicate with provincial Gender focal points and provide advice on solving of problems and issues.
Collect update information from programs/ departments as well as from provinces on daily and weekly basis and assist Gender Coordinator in developing comprehensive reports.
Build capacity of provincial EQUIP team, education departments and district education departments, and SMCs by providing training and workshops related to Gender.
Conduct field visits at least once in a month to provinces recently covered under EQUIP and solve problems and issues raised in the provinces related to Gender.
Conduct primary survey and collect information from the provinces
Liaise with other relevant departments, and related units of EQUIP or other education or Gender stakeholders.
Assist in the review and analyze of data related to gender indicators from program and line departments of MoE.
Perform any other task related to gender or requested by line supervisor.
Qualification
Experience: 1-3 years in administrative, social or gender related fieldSubmission Guideline
