Job Summary

The provincial program Manager (NSP) is responsible for the overall smooth implementation of the NSP based on the High Risk Implementation Strategy of the NSP Operational Manual, and SDO policies and procedures. The Program Manager supervises four district support teams, coordination management unit, and capacity building department. The manager is expected to facilitate the planning, implementation, quality control, and verification of the operations carried out on the districts level. The manager is ultimately responsible to ensure that the contractual milestones are achieved.

Duties and Resposibilities

Facilitate the development of operational plans for district teams in their key work areas of community mobilization, sub project implementation, progress verification, and financial control.
Develop monitoring plans for district operations together with coordination and control manager.
Oversee the planning process and check for consistency and quality of outputs.
Oversee the data management process of the district teams and coordination management unit.
Assess the training needs of the community development council (CDC) members and staff members and facilitate the development of training plans with the capacity building department.
Oversee and control the departmental protocols
Manage complaints handling mechanism
Assess security situation, impact, and threats; and propose strategic options to enhance SDO’s acceptance in the communities
Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders (e.g. PMU, RRD, and Provincial Council)
Help with staff capacity building and knowledge management
Undertake database management of the provincial office.
