FIA is also a facilitating partner under the National Solidarity Program, which provides capacity building, infrastructure improvements and technical expertise to communities throughout Afghanistan. In addition, FIA is engaged in agricultural extension training in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture, Information and Livestock, engaging with farming communities on new agricultural methods, tools and techniques.Job Summary
Program Officer/Data ManagementDuties and Resposibilities
Responsible for supporting the FIA NSP Department in its responsibilities to implement CDC led sub-projects under the National Solidarity Program.Responsible for tracking FIA’s NSP activities under the NSP Web Reporting System and updating the NSP Program Manager on any and all updates and changes.
Responsible for the controlling, managing and recording the flow of data under the National Solidarity Program.
Responsible for preparing timely and accurate reports outlining project implementation progress, as directed by the NSP Program Manager.
Responsible for coordinating with FIA NSP Provincial Offices to ensure that sub-project activities are properly tracked and that program data has been reconciled with the Web Reporting System.
Responsible for creating and maintaining real time databases that convey the progress of ongoing NSP sub-projects. This will involve among other responsibilities, following up on community block grants, disbursed at the provincial level and following the sub-project developments.
Responsible for tracking the status of the CDC Block Grant Disbursements and following up with the MRRD NSP Block Grant Department in the event of delays.
Responsible for creating, submitting and maintaining the FIA NSP departmental monthly and quarterly reports.
Responsible for performing data analysis on FIA NSP activities and providing these findings to the NSP Program Manager.
Responsible for ensuring that all program data is properly stored and backed up.
Any and all other administrative duties as determined by the NSP Country Manager
Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree: Preference given to MIS/IT graduates.Fluency in written and spoken English ,Dari and Pashto ;
Strong MS Office Skills, in particular Microsoft Excel & Access
A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in the national or international organizations.
A minimum of two (2) years of work experience as a data management officer under the NSP Program.
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to travel and work in various provinces;
Motivated, hardworking, creative, innovative and a strong team player;
Ability to set deadlines and manage time effectively;
Ability to work independently and deliver high quality outputs;
