Global Technology is an Afghan owned company working in collaboration of Afghan Government and International agencies in different parts of Afghanistan.
The Hardware Technician's role is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance, and provide end user training and assistance where required.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for replacement, repairing and servicing of all computer systems as well as computer peripherals in the company or any requested location.
Responsible to service and replace all consumable parts such as printer cartridges, busted cables, and other communication related equipment.
Provide support to network printers, copiers, and digital senders.
Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
Complete all required paperwork and reports accurately, legibly and obtain proper approvals from site management.
Report incidents to the prospective supervisor on a regular base.
Responsible for providing emergency support to the clients at any circumstances.
Be prepared to travel outside of base for installation, repair or service purposes of any assigned computer system.
Must provide basic training and guidance to customers.
Be responsible for the equipment of the related site, and equipment which are provided by the company.
Assist in maintaining, upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring PC performance.
Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware needs.
Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
Possess through knowledge of printing and imaging devices work.
Hands-on experience in assembly and disassembly of desktop and laptop PCs.
Well-versed in device malfunction identification and resolution.
Comprehensive understanding of internal motherboard components such as Hard Drive, RAM, CPU, Optical Drives, Graphics card, Sound card, Network card, and Power supply.
Understand and interpret the patterns of CPU beep codes.
Proficient in soldering to replace parts such as USB port, NIC port, and capacitor (condenser) onto the motherboard.
Possess a sound comprehension of BIOS preferences and BIOS component information. In addition, be able to use Built-in BIOS diagnostics.
Must have a solid definition of Motherboard form Factors, Expansion slots, RAM slots, CPU sockets, Power connections and types, and Bus speeds.
Understand the types and characteristics of display devices.
Understand the theory behind ESD (Electro Static Discharge), and be able to utilize tools to avoid one while working with devices.
Identify connector types and associated cables.
Install and configure, diagnose various peripheral devices.
Proficient in utilizing appropriate operational procedures such as customer facing, safety procedures, and proper communication and professionalism.
Experienced in reporting, documentation, and incident escalation.
Valid CompTIA A+ Hardware online certification is required
Bachelor degree in IT or computer science is preferred.
Minimum of 4 or 5 Years of professional experience in field.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills & customer relation skills-
extremely customer service oriented.
Ability to work independently and resourceful with good initiative and discipline.
Strong interpersonal skill.
Willing to work nights & weekends if necessary.
