Duties and Responsibilities

1.Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
2.Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a Site Supervisor (SS). The SSE shall be responsible for installation, configuration, and operation of all system server equipment within their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to Domain Controller, DNS and DHCP Servers, File Servers, Print Servers, Web Servers, AV Servers, Exchange 2012 Servers, WSUS Servers, LYNC Servers, SQL Servers, and WDS Servers, Knowledge of the operation and support of personal computers and local area networks. Knowledge of standard networking protocols. Ability to interact with LANs and WAN vendors.
3.Knowledge of LAN and WAN products and protocols. Ability to understand and follow complex and written instructions. Ability to convey complex information to others in training situations. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to manage others in a complex technical work environment. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical and computer-related problems.
4.Experience configuring and deploying of system infrastructure for an enterprise organization, Strong understanding and experience in troubleshooting and use of tools as protocol analyzers along with developing bandwidth utilization reports. Experience supporting infrastructure to meet network requirements by monitoring performance and availability and tuning system infrastructure
5.Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment to improve network performance and provides technical support and guidance to users. Individuals must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
6.Responsible for supporting equipment in a Microsoft Windows environment, from design through implementation and support.
7.Performs a wide variety of installation, configuration and upgrading of workstations, servers and related hardware and software in a LAN, WAN and stand-alone environment. A System Engineer provides investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software and infrastructure.
8.Complete configuration, installation and support of equipment in a Microsoft Windows environment to the specifications of client proposals. Troubleshoot and resolve computer and telephony related issues when contacted by clients by providing both on-site and remote support.
9. Maintaining software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance.
10.Maintain a professional and effective working relationship with the customer, work colleagues and 3rd party contacts at all levels and at all times, setting a good example for junior engineers and apprentices.
11.Responsible for installation, configuration, and operation of all System equipment within their area of responsibility. This includes, Domain Controller, DNS and DHCP Servers, File Servers, Print Servers, Web Servers and other related servers/services.
12.Proficient with Windows 2003 Server OS, Windows 2008 OS and Windows 2012 OS(or latest version) Active Directory, Client Windows, Symantec Corporate, SharePoint Administration, and all other server software applications.
13.Ensure that all changes (especially at the Domain Controller, DNS, Active Directory and router/switch level) are coordinated through the system Configuration Control Board prior to implementation.
14.Report and coordinate all troubleshooting and fault isolation with the SS/RSSs and the NMIAC via the Network Trouble Ticket Database.
15.Ensure that all equipment within their area of responsibility is maintained by proper preventative maintenance as prescribed by the PM.
16.Knowledgeable in the performance of all devices within their region (i.e. CPU Load, Memory Usage, Hard Drive Space, Processes, and Event Viewer). Any metric out of Systems Baseline Standards will be reported via the System Infrastructure, Troubleshooting Database and troubleshooting steps will be conducted to rectify.
17.Ensure that all equipment within their area of responsibility is maintained accurately in the System Inventory Database.
18.Ensure that all routers, switches and servers are operating within the prescribed standards set by the Network Baseline of Standards. Any discrepancies (unusually high memory usage or unknown service/process) shall be reported to the SS/RSS and NMIAC immediately and annotated in the System Troubleshooting Database.
19.Given Enterprise and/or Domain Administrator level Privileges as prescribed by duties.
20.The job and lecture training, in the areas of their expertise, to the personnel assigned to work with them by the Core team.
21. Maintain a professional and effective working relationship with the customer, work colleagues and 3rd party contacts at all levels and at all times, setting a good example for junior engineers and apprentices.
22.To undertake 3rd line problem solving infrastructure administration tasks, including proactive checks and problem identification (recurring issues).
23.Manage your call queue and tasks ensuring all calls and tasks are updated and maintained within agreed Service Levels and Key Performance Indicators.
24.Identify service improvements through process changes, new systems or equipment to reduce incidents and improve the customer experience.
25.Undertake infrastructure changes in accordance with the Change Management processes including timely user communication.
26.Undertake capacity planning and management using network and system monitoring tools. Present data showing trends and make recommendations on a quarterly basis.
27.Provide guidance to junior and apprentice engineers, helping them attain Service Levels and escalate calls in good time.
28.Maintain personal Technical Skills Framework and identify training requirements – undertake personal development where identified.
29.Produce and keep up to date documentation and diagrams showing infrastructure configuration.
30.Experience of supporting virtualized servers using VMWare and Hyper-V.
31.Experience of SAN and Storage solutions – particularly 3rd line support (e.g. EMC and Dell technologies).
32.Task management skills and experience.

Salary Benefit:
The company has salary increment of 30% added to your current/previous contract (salary) for those who successful passes in interview .

Signing bonus: 70,000.Af.
