Job Summary

Supervise over all emergency hygiene and sanitation activities in the field, conduct hygiene education sessions where IPD are settled, conduct and participate in Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) study, participate in site selection for emergency bath and latrine, and train IDP and community elders on hygiene and sanitation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities

• To conduct training on hygiene for IDP & effected people.
• To visit his/ her related sites for supervision of hygiene promoters activities
• To ensure that couples’ work according to plan and according to DACAAR’s HE guidelines
• To Attend and monitor ongoing hygiene sessions of hygiene promoters by sitting in and observing hygiene sessions regularly
• To train and tutor the new couples until they are performing acceptably
• To evaluate the previous sessions of each couple by visiting households where hygiene education has been taken place
• To encourage or assist the couples with any work related problems
• To keep informed emergency wash manager, Provincial Manager and HE Unit about their visits findings, activities, disagreement and progressive.
• To fill in all necessary forms and check those of their related couples and submit them on time
• To participate in bidding process of hygiene education materials when required
• To participate in field visit with donor delegation visiting their respective project sites
• Any other tasks directed by emergency unite provincial manager or HE unit.

Education: University degree MD for male and 14th class graduate for female (university degree in MD or equivalent is preferable for female candidate.


Experience: At least 2 years supervisory experience in related field is required.

Languages: the applicant should be able to speak both Pashto and Dari Fluently and English is preferred.
