About Bank-e-Millie Afghan

Bank-e- Millie Afghan is the first and foremost bank in Afghanistan, established in 1933. Bank-e- Millie Afghan introduced the banking system in Afghanistan and is enjoying its 77th years of fame, reliance and recognition both inside and outside Afghanistan. The bank initiated its operations on initial assets of AFN 9.6 million (82%) by private entrepreneurs and (28%) by the government. It was fully nationalized by the government in 1976.in order to reach every Afghan, Bank has implemented successfully the CORE BANKING SYSTEM. BMA has currently 15 city branches and 21 Provincial branches. Soon 8 more branches in different provinces will be inaugurated.

Job Summary

1. Making and controlling all financial Statements of the Bank monthly, quarterly and annually.
2. Making financial analysis monthly, quarterly, and annually.
3. Cooperating with budget officer in making annual budget.
4. Controlling and reconciling budget with actual result monthly, quarterly and annually.
5. Monitoring daily, Weekly, Monthly & annual affairs of various sections of Accounting Department.
6. Controlling the reconciliation of various accounts of Investment Dept with of Accounting Dept.
7. Controlling the Balances of all section of Operation Dept with Accounting Dept.
8. Controlling the Balances of all section of Credit Dept with Accounting Dept.
9. Cooperating with Deputy General Director of Admin and Finance in calculating the Taxes.
10. Controlling of the financial reports presenting to DAB.
11. Controlling all the expenditures of the bank.
12. Controlling all the fixed assets of the bank.
13. Controlling all the payroll expenditure of the bank.
14. Cooperation with Internal and External Auditors (DAB and KPMG)
15. Instructing the staff & assigning them their tasks according to their job descriptions.
16. Controlling the staff & timely checking their work wither their work is matching the standards or not.
17. Participating in various meeting of the Bank.
18. Supervising & Evaluating the tasks & responsibilities of each personnel in the department.
19. Maintaining sound communication and coordination throughout Dept.
20. Any other task or duty which is assigned by the line manager.

Skills

Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental
Accounting Standards (GASB).
Experience with governmental/non-profit accounting principles and procedures.
Ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures.
Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
Ability to effectively direct and supervise.
Knowledge of operating and capital budget concepts.
Ability to analyze financial data and to prepare accurate reports in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

Requires at least bachelor degree in the field of economics, Masters Degree is Preffer.
