About FHI 360 - USWDP Project
Afghanistan University Support and Workforce Development Program (USWDP) is designed to help Afghanistan’s higher education professionals effectively manage the growth of tertiary education while improving academic quality. Building on the successes of the Afghanistan Higher Education Project and other initiatives, the USWDP will improve the management capacity of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and up to 10 public universities to ensure quality education and employment for a larger number of Afghan men and women. It will also assist in developing learning environments that foster well qualified and professional faculty members, highly capable and motivated students, diverse and market-oriented academic programs, sustainable public-private collaboration, international university partnerships, and other innovations that move Afghanistan toward the higher education system it deserves.
The Intern will work in USWDP main office in Kabul and will be involved in and learn how to better organize the University Support stream’s daily activities that include, but not limited to the organization of Soft Skills Training (SST), University Industry Advisory Council (UIAC) meetings, and processing administration tasks.This is an unpaid internship. Interns will not be paid any salary or allowances.

Duties and Responsibilities
The intern will be involved in and learn how to:
1.Organize administrative and logistical work of UIAC events
2.Arrange and update Soft Skills Training (SST) and Computer Training (CMOA) schedules
3.Monitor SST and CMOA classes and provide feedback for improvement
4.Provide career counseling to alumni or senior students and help them in writing a better CV and applying for jobs.
5.Participate in interviews of selecting students to SSTs and CMOAs in the field offices.
• Fresh graduate of local universities.
• Possess a good command of English, Dari and Pashto.
• Good computer literacy particularly office package and Access.
• Well organized, enthusiastic and professional career oriented
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work in team and individually
• USWDP Soft Skills Training graduates and female
