About Bank-e-Millie Afghan
Bank-e- Millie Afghan is the first and foremost bank in Afghanistan, established in 1933. Bank-e- Millie Afghan introduced the banking system in Afghanistan and is enjoying its 77th years of fame, reliance and recognition both inside and outside Afghanistan. The bank initiated its operations on initial assets of AFN 9.6 million (82%) by private entrepreneurs and (28%) by the government. It was fully nationalized by the government in 1976.in order to reach every Afghan, Bank has implemented successfully the CORE BANKING SYSTEM. BMA has currently 15 city branches and 21 Provincial branches. Soon 8 more branches in different provinces will be inaugurated.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Directs review and verification of records, compliance with standards, policies and procedures. Develops audit procedures and systems. Oversees audit findings and recommendations. Supervises internal audit staff.
2. Providing of written inspected internal audit reports to BOS including findings, analysis, outcomes and proposed recommendations.
3. Conducts audit to verify the accuracy of records, compliance with standards, policies and procedures. Complies audit findings and recommendations for modifications and improvements to systems and procedures.
4. Conducts complex audit projects. Reviews records for accuracy and conformance to standards. Inspects financial or operational information to ensure procedures are correct and appropriate. Compiles audit findings and recommend revisions to systems and procedures.
7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in public accounting firm or in internal audit at a financial institution;
Have senior Audit Director Experience and qualified with a solid track record of delivering quality audit services withing audit firm;
Experience auditing operating systems, databases, networks and other technological areas.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities;
In depth Knowledge of Financial and operations audit;
Strong knowledge of standard audit practices and ability to apply them;
Ability to develop a comprehensive internal audit program for a bank;
Excellent analytical skills and attention to details;
Extensive knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures;
Good risk management skills and experience;
Must have a thorough understanding of the Afghan banking law and regulations;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Have high ethical standards and integrity in both their personal and professional dealings;
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other business related field;
Professional certification, such as CIA/ CBA/ CPA/ CISA/ ACCA is desirable;
Professional Audit Certification is highly desirable.
