About Criminal Justice Task Force (CJTF)

The Criminal Justice Task Force (CJTF) was set up in September 2005. Its mandate under the Counter Narcotics Law is to investigate and prosecute serious narcotic offences from across Afghanistan. The CJTF includes investigators from the Ministry of Interior, prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General, and judges from the Supreme Court. After receiving cases the Task Force is then responsible for all stages of the criminal process from investigation and prosecution through to final verdict from the Supreme Court.
The UK and the US provide support for the operation and development of the CJTF as an Afghan judicial institution, and the UK provides salary support for the staff of the Task Force and assists the work of its Administration and Communication Units.

Job Summary

The Drive is mainly responsible to manage, properly fill in the vehicle log book, wash the vehicle and keep it clean all the time, regularly pick / drop the CJTF staff before and after the official hours, properly check oils and fuel of the vehicle during trip.

Duties and Responsibilities

To undertake long and short trips as require
To properly check oils and fuel of the vehicle during trip
To daily pick / drop the CJTF staff before and after the official hours
To sign all the related documents of his trip by related Officer
To properly fill in the vehicle log book
To be helpful to the passengers within the limit of transport rules of CJTF
To wash the vehicle and keep it clean all the time
To report his arrival and departure from any office to the Transport Office
To report from journey to Transport Officer or Head of Unit as required
To fix time and place for commencement of trips
To help workshop staff when his vehicle is under repair


Good local knowledge of characteristics of districts (populations, roads, etc) of covered provinces
Having technical skill to be able to repair basic/miner vehicles problems
Be able to driver Mini Buses too in case there is need
Ready to work, live and travel to remote areas in a difficult situation


At least to be high School Graduated
At least to have 2 years work experience with NGOs, UN Organizations, or Government agencies
Fluent to be in Dari, Pashto, and basic skill of English Language
Valid driving license is must
