Distribution Supervisor


About French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children

The French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children (FMIC) was founded in 2006 is a unique public-private partnership between the Governments of Afghanistan & France, a French NGO – La Chaine de L’Espoir/Enfants Afghans and the Aga Khan Development Network through the Aga Khan University Hospital. FMIC embodies a sign of hope for the medical care of children in Kabul. The Institute has risen to the challenge of charting a course towards sustainable health solutions for Afghanistan. It is the first ISO certified hospital in Afghanistan, aiming to provide compassionate, accessible, cost-effective, high quality care services to the population of Afghanistan. Currently the hospital provides 94-bedded inpatient care for Children and adults, including 16 beds for paediatric intensive care, four operation theatres, a department of radiology which includes CT-Scan and MRI capabilities, a state-of-the-art laboratory, a 24 hour pharmacy service and outpatient services for the adult population in medical and surgical specialties. FMIC now offers 17 bed adult cardiac care with a state of art cardiac catheterization laboratory. This year FMIC will also offer 52 new beds for maternal care and a 14 bed neonatal intensive care unit.

FMIC also runs a Postgraduate Medical Education and is considered a training hub for healthcare professionals. Through its eHealth programme, FMIC offers telemedicine and eLearning services to hospitals in Bamyan, Badakshan and Kandahar in Afghanistan and Khorog in Tajikistan.

FMIC is working towards expansion of its health services towards establishing a comprehensive 400 bed Academic Medical Complex in Kabul, which will serve not only the Afghan population but Central Asia as well, as a medical Center of excellence.

Job Summary

Overall responsible for supervising the Distribution Centers through out the hospital and make sure that all necessary items are always available in Distribution Center and these are properly used on the patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Make sure that all Distribution centers are manned properly.
2. Printing physical sheet of all Distribution Centers on monthly basis.
3. Physical inventory of all Distribution centers are carried out on monthly basis and variance are properly accounted for.
4. Transferring of necessary materials in specific time from one store to anther store through Magic system.
5. Preparing the overtime sheets for all staffs of Distribution Centers.
6. Preparing the monthly attendance for Distribution Centers.
7. Staff are properly managed and motivated to do their work.
8. Make sure that all staffs are properly trained for their work.
9. Reporting to Head of Material Management regarding any changes in Distribution Center.
10. Reporting to Head of Material Management & Head of Nursing Service regarding using of alternate materials in the words.
11. Have meeting with new French Nurses who start working by the first time in Operating Room / guiding them about the system of OR. Distribution Center and getting materials from Distribution Center.
12. Liaise with the head of nursing units and other people who are responsible to use the services of distribution Center to get their feedback about the working and performance of the Distribution Centers that the performance can be improved further based on their expectation.
13. Identify the items which are not available and liaise with the Store and perches department for the availability of the items or the arrangement of its alternatives.
14. Develop Team Leaders in each Distribution Center and train them for their job.
15. Any other assignment assigned by Supervisor.


•Graduated from 12th class, Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/ finance.

•Five years related experience.

•Knowledge about the hospital

•Good communication, interpersonal and management skills

•Ability to work under difficult working condition

• Critical thinking and problem solving skills

•Good computer skills, especially MS Office
