Job Summary

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will have the primary responsibility of leading the day-to-day operations of the company in line with the strategic plan and budget. As the COO, the candidate provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. He/she will be responsible for developing, monitoring and evaluating overall corporate strategy with the MANAGING DIRECTOR and other C-level executives with emphasis on bottom line performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures.
Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
Establish and recommend policies that promote company’s culture and vision.
Oversee daily operations of the company.
Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
Join other C-level executives in fundraising ventures.
Participate in expansion activities.
Manage relationships with partners/vendors.
Develop, in collaboration with the Managing Director and the CFO, annual operating plans that support the company’s long term operations strategy.
Ensure that company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures to meet operational and financial targets.
Asses and manage the principal risks of the company's businesses within operations (proposals, projects and staffing).
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the organization.
Develop, implement and monitor the Company’s Quality System.
Assist the Managing Director and Chief HR Officer in establishing an appropriate organizational structure.
Assist the Managing Director in overseeing the company’s achievement and maintenance of a satisfactory competitive position within the industry.

Qualifications

BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is highly preferred.
At least 5 years experience in top level management.
Ability to develop, layout, and follow through on detailed business plans and programs.
An overall understanding of other business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office.
