The incumbent is responsible for providing care and maintenance of the Sewage Plant for NATO facilities on the compound which supports the command and control mission of HQ RS and the sustainment of a base population.

Duties and Responsibilities
Makes regular inspections of the Sewage Plant and equipment to ensure it is in proper operation at all times.
Supervises the daily cleaning / maintenance issues with all buildings / equipment related to the Sewage Plant.
Daily start, stop, and repairs to pumps and motors that control flow volume for the Sewage Plant and its tanks.
Maintains a complete understanding of the Sewage Plant operations i.e. treatment, equipment, sludge processing, disposal, the inter-relations with the plumbing / water system and the waste water in order to control flow, processing and disposal of the waste.
In conjunction with the Sewage Plant, operates and maintains fresh water well pumps and raw water systems in a coherent matter.
Ensures accurate daily chemical treatment at all stages of the treatment of the sewage / fresh water processes.
The employee may be required to perform a similar range of duties elsewhere within the organization at the same grade without there being any change to the contract.
The work is normally performed in a typical Workshop environment. Slightly Undesirable Conditions apply.
Demonstrated skill proficiency, able to plan, coordinate and implement daily works.
2-3 years’ experience in water purification and Sewage Systems.
Able to work in both shifts if requested.
Knowledge of plumbing installations and underground piping works.
High School Graduate.
3 or more years’ of working experience in Water/Waste/Sewage plant field.
Active involvement in a professional guild/association of Waste Management Technology.
Advanced courses in Waste Management Technology and trained as a technician on Waste Management Processes.
English language certificate.
A diploma from a technical institute or Afghan corporation in Water/Waste/Sewage plant processes.
Knowledge of Afghanistan's NEPA (National Environment Protection Agency) work.

An initial 12 month contract will be offered and contract extensions may be possible. Monthly salary of € 645.00
Meal Allowance of € 185.00 per month
