Duties and Responsibilities

Objective 1: To strengthen the capacity and skills of each integrated staff member within multiple sectors on areas including conduct assessments, integrating GBV awareness, coordinate at the provincial and capital level with all key stakeholder including Health Facility staff, multiple governmental and other actor focal poins, we well as identify gaps in service delivery that can inform adaptive training modules. More specifically,
:
 Supervise and support the identification of psychosocial care needs of the multi sectoral interventions
 Participate in real time evaluations of program implementation
 Work closely with the multi sectoral Project Managers and related stakeholders
 Facilitate the establishment of a beneficiary validation and tracking tool
 Support the organisation and implementation of staff trainings on GBV and related protection issues
 Develop, adapt the IEC materials and training modules for the program in line with national guideline

Objective 2: To Facilitate good quality care to GBV survivors in Afghanistan and strengthen capacity building at HF level according to national mental health strategies in Afghanistan

 Ensure the assessment of the capacity or potential of psychosocial services within targeted health facilities, and contribute to improving these psychosocial services in the health facilities with formal onsite training regarding care practises including diffusion of key messages
 Supervise the creation of child and mother friendly spaces within mobile clinics and health facilities where support services can be provided
 Actively lead at field level in the development of training manuals, actively creating opportunities for participation of community key focal points
 Participate in the successful promotion of upcoming project trainings including ensuring successful dissemination of information to men and women
 Support MHCP key indicators within project monitoring and evaluations
Objective 3: Contribute to the follow up of the trainings:
 Support the identification of the beneficiaries and attendants who need specialised attention (unusual behaviour, aggressiveness, isolation, food refusal, etc.);
 Ensure quality of support provided to attendees to GBV services interviews, individual counselling and by referring them to the medical team in sensitive situations;
 Discuss actively with team, Field Manager; Nutrition, Health & MHCP Coordinator and MHCP HoD to make any required additional follow ups or adaptive changes.
Objective 4: Contribute to data management of project:
• Supervise the security and confidentiality files concerning project activities up to date
• Support the proper synthesis and analysis of assessment and monitoring data as required, and consequently produce evidence based reports
• Feedback any information related to an identified program development
• To provide feedback on the daily data collection and openly with team address promptly and effectively any issues or problems where possible

Objective 5: Working with support team/ Reporting / communications / representation
• Manage the administrative and logistic needs along with base admin, finance and HR team
• To follow the treasury forecast, budget follow up and budget revision as per needs
• Ensure the safety & security clearance for the team respecting the advice of security responsible
• Share with the humanitarian access officer any information on the security context and any event which may have consequences on ACF activities and team safety
• Write reports and annexes concerning his program for donor reports and/or amendment
• Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and guidelines
• Maintain a local operational communication network and positive relations with the local/governmental authorities, donor representatives, UN and other international agencies in cooperation with the coordination team
• Representation in the meetings or forums concerning the program in his place of employment
• Represent ACF on request and/or delegation
• Write the administrative documents to be signed (MOU, handover…) jointly with governmental authorities, communities or partners

Skills

- Bachelor`s degree in psychology, psychosocial services or related field (Medical Degree, Social science, Public health) from reputed university
- Minimum 3 years of experience in NGOs including 1 year in GBV related program
- Strong experience in and familiarity with GBV and related issues in Afghanistan and/or emergency
- Strong experience in and familiarity with psychosocial methodology
- Good organization, planning and reporting skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skill
- Good team interaction and positive attitude
- Fluent English in speaking and writing as well as local language
- Familiar with word, excel, Skype and email

Qualifications

Bachelor`s degree in psychology, psychosocial services or related field (Medical Degree, Social science, Public health) from reputed university
