Responsible for the delivery of Centralised Operations & Maintenance Change & Configuration Management functions for Aftel Wireless Business Unit to performance targets. Applicable to Aftel Mobile Network excluding Fibre Optic/SDH/PDH backbone Network, all power systems and IT support systems.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Organizational Leadership, Management, Development & Employee Motivation
• Supports Ongoing ChM & CM Development plans
• Responsible for carrying out ChM & CM services in accordance with Aftel policies and procedures
• Responsible for ChM & CM Service Delivery SLAs/KPIs
• Responsible for ChM & CM Reporting
• Ensures ChM & CM processes and procedures are created, enforced, regularly reviewed and updated
• Ensures 3rd Party Management SLA’s (where applicable)
• Operational level interface to O&M in-scope subcontractors & 3rd parties
• Escalation interface to Technology vendor(s) for active network faults/problems
• Operational contact for 2nd Line maintenance escalated O&M matters
The deliverables expected are:
• Configuration Management (including 2nd Line Maintenance), (including rotation basis on call/ stand-by out of hours support)
- Creation and maintenance of Configuration Management Policy
- Support to network Acceptance testing
- Establish, setup and maintain Configuration maintenance Database (CMDB)
- Ongoing verification of CMDB against actual network configuration
- Work Order execution as applicable
- Change request verification support to ChM
- Maintenance of Integrity of Network Configuration documentation
- Ensures availability and accessability to all Operations and Planning authorities to CMDB
- Generate CMDB reports
- Generate escalated FM incident reports
• Change Management
- Creation and maintenance of Change Management Policy
- Change Request verification management
- Business Approval (project level) management
- MOP and WO validation
- Change request approval and scheduling
- Change WO creation & co-ordination as required
- Change monitoring and escalation management
- Change verification post change against CMDB
