Project Summary;
DAI is implementing the USAID-funded program, Women in Economy (WIE) across the five major population centers in the regional economic zones (Kabul, Mazar, Herat, Jalalabad and Kandahar) in Afghanistan. The objective of this project is to enable Afghan women to increase their participation in the mainstream, formal economy by securing employment with advancement potential and by helping women-owned businesses, or those that employ women as 10% or more of their staff grow.

Component 2 of the program, focused on Workforce Development (WfD), aims to increase Afghan women’s participation in the mainstream, formal economy across key sectors where there is market opportunity and a need for women, such as Health, Education, ICT, Banking and private sector management,

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to develop studies that inform the implementation of integrated services and design and implement mechanisms for continuous learning, collaboration, and adaptation for project staff, partners, donors, host country government counterparts, and other stakeholders;
• Incorporate technical, contextual and experiential learning into technical strategies, interventions, and processes for WIE, including annual work plans;
• Utilize project data from several project-related databases and continuously work with program staff to make them aware about data and information that can be used to inform program approaches;
• Coordinate, plan, and implement institutional learning activities relevant to the achievement of WIE, among partners, staff and contractors
• Facilitate workshops and processes between implementation partners, USAID and others
• Track best practices in knowledge management and learning to incorporate new or improved learning tools and approaches
• Apply lessons learned and best practices into improved work-planning and project activities
• Gather and disseminate knowledge and information on best practices for high priority activities
• Build capacity of staff, implementing partners, government counterparts, and other stakeholders in program M&E, data collection and management, and research and learning methods.
• Contribute to work plans, quarterly and annual reports, financial reports, and other reports and papers summarizing project results and evidence.
• Serve as a resource for organizational change management within WIE

• Experience: Master’s Degree with 5 years with reputable organizations including USAID, World Bank, and others; 3 years of experience should be related to SOW specifically, including data analysis, management, knowledge management, evaluation, Or Bachelor’s degree with 10 Years’ experience.
• Strong, demonstrable data and knowledge management skills are a must for this position, as is the ability to work with little direction from supervisor
• Familiarity with monitoring & evaluation concepts, esp. USAID M&E
• Familiarity with USAID’s CLA Framework
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to communicate (written and verbally) in English.
• Fluent Dari and Pashto
• Result Oriented and meet deadlines on time
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn, and help others to learn

• Education: BA, BS or commensurate work experience required. Master’s degree is preferred
