Job Summary

Project Background:

The Justice Sector Support Program (JSSP) utilizes international and Afghan advisors to train and build capacity for Afghan officials within the Ministry of Justice, Attorney General’s Office, Supreme Court, Ministry of Women’s Affairs, and other justice sector organizations. The project has over 341 local national positions, many of which are advisor positions located in Kabul and throughout the 34 provinces of Afghanistan. Afghanistan Holding Group (AHG), has extensive experience working with justice sector institutions. AHG can call on a pool of 800 short-term consultants across all 34 provinces, which is critical to quickly filling vacancies and meeting technical and training needs that arise in JSSP.

Senior Procurement Request Specialist will be responsible to supervise collecting requests for needed equipment, supervise checking the budget sheet for needed equipment and supervise writing procurement requests.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise collecting requests for needed equipment
Supervise checking the budget sheet for needed equipment
Supervise writing PRs
Be responsible for keeping a running budget against PRs
Supervise the submission of PRs to DPM and finance approval
Follow up with procurement on processing the PRs
Coordinate with Logistics on deliveries
Supervise writing EUMs and Donation Letters
Coordinating with relevant Advisors on deliveries
Coordinating with Logistics and relevant advisors on equipment inventory and maintaining an inventory of issued equipment

Travels to Provinces

Require Travels to Provinces


Minimum five years of experience providing and overseeing procurement functions
Must have a bachelor’s degree in international development, public policy and administration, procurement, or related field
Experience managing procurement staff
Preferred experience executing and overseeing multi-million dollar procurement requests
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
