Job Summary

Logistics Officer is the member of Logistics Unit and holds a subordinate position to the Head of
Logistics Unit. He assists the Unit Head in all matters in the Unit. He is the substitute for the Head of Logistics in his absence

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• In general work in strict accordance with the manuals of the Unit.
• Assist the Head of the Unit in daily monitoring and supervisions of the relevant staff.
• Ensure that the vehicles and other machinery maintenance, assigning vehicles for field trips, local trips take place on time and all rules and regulation has been followed.
• Ensure all expenses vouchers forwards to Finance department on time.
• Supervise the relevant staff, senior driver and plan their duties.
• Keep the Logistics database up to date on daily basis as to all expenses and ensure that it gives proper reports and keep it on.
• Assist Head of Logistics Unit in physical check of DACAAR vehicles while needed.
• Ensure that all drivers follow the guidelines for driving DACAAR vehicles.
• Ensure all vehicles registration documents are up to date and proper retaining of vehicles original documents.
• Assist the Head of the Unit in organizing the vehicle auction when needed.
• Assist the Head of the Unit in obtaining registration and all other relevant documents.
• Assist the Head of the Unit in preparing of all reports related to the logistics management.
• Closely monitoring of expenses for fuel and repairs for all vehicles carried out in DACAAR workshop and local workshops.
• Ensure the senior driver disseminate the security information and other instructions given by the Unit Head on time to the drivers.
• Maintain relationship with reliable and experienced local workshops.
• Close coordination with stock staff for availability of needed vehicles parts in the stock.
• Assist the Unit Head in quality control of vehicles parts and fuel.
• Ensure the vehicles are used for official purpose on time report of any irregularities.
• Ensure that the old parts hand over to the stock officer right after the maintenance take place.
• Daily management of the car pool and drivers to ensure optimal use.
• Relevant capacity building of staff under his responsibility.
• To keep an updated record of DACAAR vehicles (registration number, chassis number , engine number, vehicle condition etc).
• Ensure
• Any other tasks as required and decided by the Unit Head and Head of HR and Administration.

Qualifications

Education/ Qualification and Employment Benefits

Education: Bachelor degree in Business Administration (BBA) is required.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience, NGOs experience is preffered.

Languages: Pashto, Dari and English
