JimCo International (JCI), LLC, a California based Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business is looking for qualified personnel with experience in vocational education, training, and employment assistance to serve as a Project Manager to support skills development operations in Afghanistan.

Job Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for the development, management, and maintenance of the skills development program. The Program Manager oversees the administration of the SALAM project (Support to Afghanistan Livelihood and Mobility), as well as ensuring that the program is meeting UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) requirements. This role focuses on creating an informed environment to support the skills development team, to match people to employment opportunities and provide the necessary resources to meet their professional development, educational, and employment goals. The Skills Development Program Manager works in close collaboration with JCI staff to coordinate internal and external job-readiness and placement programs. The Skills Development Program Manager is responsible for establishing a network of hiring managers who can connect personnel to employment. This position will also work closely with various staff, participants, volunteers, and community stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities



• Prior experience working with US/NATO forces in austere conditions (e.g. Afghanistan, Iraq, etc.)


• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the field of vocational education, training and/or employment (with a bachelor’s degree or 5 years with a master’s degree).

• At least 3 years of experience in a project management / team lead function of training and/or job-creation program.

• Experience in at least two (2) projects as an expert in the field of vocational education/training.
