About American University of Afghanistan
The American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) is a private, non-profit university offering an American-style liberal arts education. We opened our doors in 2005 and currently offer four undergraduate academic majors and an MBA program. We follow a strict non-discriminatory policy and applicants from all ethnic, religious, and economic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We are a young and growing dynamic university with a student population of nearly 1,100 and we hope to reach 1,250 students by the fall 2018 academic semester. We have expanded operations to the 75-acre international campus across the street from our original campus. Construction is ongoing for additional classroom and lab buildings to help meet the growing needs of our student population.
The Master of Arts in Education and Law Enforcement (MAELE) program at AUAF needs a trained lawyer at the instructor or assistant professor level to teach one of the following courses in Dari on a part-time basis: criminology, law and law enforcement in Afghanistan, government and politics of Afghanistan, organized crime, cybercrime and forensics science, law and law enforcement vis-à-vis women, children and youth. The instructor will also advise students with their papers. Candidates are expected to fully participate in the academic life of the MAELE program as well as the university at large. The program is conducted in Dari, but fluency in Pashto and English will be an added asset. This program is designed for police and Ministry of Interior personnel in Afghanistan. The class will meet in the late afternoon twice a week, from August 27 to December 20, 2018
