Duties and Responsibilities

Civil/Construction/Structural Engineer:
Site visits and spot checking and verifying the works of contractors/grantees on the contract requirements and ensuring works progress according to the engineering standards and project schedules;
Ensure project contractors/grantees comply with the pre-approved engineering plans, layouts and drawings;
Verify Bills of Quantity against material procured by the contractor/grantee in order to assess compliance;
Conduct various QC visits of construction projects and prepare QC reports.
Conduct visits of WTP/WWTP/HVAC projects and prepare reports.
Prepare checklists and monitoring questionnaires according to client-prescribed specifications to facilitate the monitoring process
Obtain samples of material for further tests to verify and assess compliance with project technical specifications and Afghan National Building and Construction Codes
Produce date-stamped and geo-tagged photographs and videos to document project status, progress of works and failures to comply with technical specifications;
Submit weekly, monthly and project completion reports to record progress and report any significant issues to the M&E Specialists
Mechanical Engineer:
Monitoring from heavy and light repairs of vehicles
Monitoring of heavy equipment’s’ maintenance such as Tractors, Loader, and Excavator…
Making plan for Engineers and mechanics to maintain the vehicle
Travel and conduct site visits to offices and premises of project implementing partners (both governmental and non-governmental organizations) in order to inspect, observe and verify ongoing project activities;
Conduct various QC visits of construction projects and prepare QC reports.
Conduct visits of WTP/WWTP projects and prepare reports.
Collect quantitative and qualitative data and monitor the progress of the project activities and quality of implementation against project work plans using appropriate monitoring measures;
Examine and verify the stated activity input, output and impact indicators to assess the progress of projects’ activities;
Prepare, consolidate and submit post-mission reports in the form of checklists and narrative reports, and other weekly, monthly and project completion reports to his/her supervisor.
Electrical Engineer:
Travel and conduct site visits (relevant to electrical field) to offices and premises of project implementing partners (both governmental and non-governmental organizations) in order to inspect, observe and verify ongoing project activities;
Conduct various QC visits of construction projects and prepare QC reports.
Conduct visits of WTP/WWTP projects and prepare reports.
Collect quantitative and qualitative data and monitor the progress of the project activities and quality of implementation against project work plans using appropriate monitoring measures;
Examine and verify the stated activity input, output and impact indicators to assess the progress of projects’ activities;
Prepare, consolidate and submit post-mission reports in the form of checklists and narrative reports, and other weekly, monthly and project completion reports to his/her supervisor.

Job Requirements:
Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field is required (Degree must be available and approved by the MOHE)
ILR Level 2 – Professional working proficiency of English language. Fluent in Writing/Reading/Speaking in English Language advanced level (TOFEL/TOIC Certificates are desirable).
Fluent in Writing/Reading/Speaking Dari and Pashtu languages.
Minimum 7 years of professional experience, preferably with international organizations, government and NGOs.
Quality Control knowledge & Expertise is mandatory
Strong experience/knowledge of Water Treatment Plant (WTP)/Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP)
Verifiable ability to produce clear and concise inspection reports.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills;
Able to work successfully under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office package
Excellent knowledge of Team Management and Reporting
Technical writing skills Excellent Presentation Skills
Excellent communications skills
Excellent knowledge of Computer programs relevant to the required field.
Must be able to travel to all provinces of Afghanistan including Kabul, Kapisa, Panjshir, Parwan, Logar, Khost, Nangarhar, Nuristan, Kunar, Laghman, Bamyan, Daikundi, Paktia, Paktika, Wardak and Ghazni

Qualifications
