Job Summary

Ensure proper training and implementation of security protocols at project level. Through trainings with head of watchmen, watchmen, head of drivers, drivers, head of radio operators and radio operators implement MSF security protocols. Provide support to the project logistics department in terms of technical aspects related to the security set up.
Full Time 40 hours a week : 5 days a week
Salary: The gross salary for this position is 32,850 AFN (non-negotiable)

Duties and Responsibilities

- In collaboration with your supervisor, work on the development of the training modules and material.
- In collaboration with the Learning And Development officer (project/mission) plan and organize trainings with head of watchmen, watchmen, head of drivers, drivers, head of radio operators and radio operators;
- Responsible for conducting trainings based on the validated modules and material to the head of watchmen, watchmen, head of drivers, drivers, head of radio operators and radio operators;
- Responsible for keeping track of the training plans and ensure the staff is aware about their progress;
- Ensure necessary material for training and implementation of the content of the training is available and functioning;
- Provide regular updates to the logistics department on the training modules and ensure proper integration in the work organization in close collaboration with the Logistics Supervisor base and facilities;
- Collaborate with the logistics department to ensure proper maintenance of the security installations (bunker, safe rooms, cars security items, radio operator security items, entry and access points – gates, doors, as well as watchmen material)
- Assist the logistics supervisor base and facilities in organizing the watchmen, car park and radio operator work space and duties (without supervision);
- In collaboration with your supervisor, work on the development of the project (mission) standards with regards to the technical specifications for the security set up (bunker, safe rooms, gates, access, movements, etc);
- Provide up to date knowledge about the local context in terms of acceptance of certain security measures, with the input of the project coordinator assistant;
- Conduct regular market assessments in collaboration with the Logistics & Supply supervisor in terms of availability and quality control of material specified in the project standards (technical specifications) with regards to the security set-up;
- Assist the logistics department in quality control during the implementation of the security set up (specifically during the construction of additional measures);
- Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting on activities to the supervisor;
- Assist the supervisor to understand the local context with regards to technical alternatives for security implementation;
- Give regular feedback to the line manager and report directly any issue or incident;
- Prepare hands on tasks as part of the team whenever required or needed in order to optimize the resources
and to contribute with his/her knowledge/experience.


- Proficient user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) essential


- High school diploma (12th class) and University degree in engineering / other technical diploma is essential
- Proficient user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) essential

- Knowledge about technical aspects for security implementation essential
- Other experience in similar position desirable
- Experience in providing trainings is essential
- MSF or NGO experience desirable
- Dari/Pashtu oral and written essential, English oral and written essential
