Duties and Responsibilities
Undertake duties and responsibilities as per directions of the senior staff
Draft letters, briefs, memos and contracts
Participate in conferences and meetings with clients, government sector and private entities
Manage matters related to cases being conducted by the firm
Conduct legal research and presenting data to the peers and senior staff
Draft case summaries
Provide comprehensive legal support to colleagues as and when required.
Ability to work alone and as part of a team
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to conduct legal research and draft documents in English
Ability to translate documents into English and vice-versa
Effective computer skills including Microsoft Office, Internet and email.
Bachelors Degree (Law)
LLB Degree with a minimum of two years of professional experience in the field of commercial law; Master’s degree preferred
Membership of Afghanistan Independent Bar Association (“AIBA”)
A good understanding of all areas of law, including corporate and ADR
Excellent command of English, and good command of local languages (Pashto and Dari)
Ability to produce high quality, well-written legal documents and reports in English
Detail oriented with strong communication, research, analytical and writing skills
Must have experience in drafting letters, briefs, contracts and case summaries
Excellent academic credentials from a national or international recognized university/institution
