About OXUS Afghanistan
OXUS Afghanistan started Operation in 2005 under support of ACTED, a development and relief NGO, which is operating in twenty five Countries of the world, and Microfinance Investment Support Facility for Afghanistan (MISFA).
Currently, OXUS Afghanistan has a portfolio of over AFN 978 million with an outreach of about 24,000 customers managed through 25 Branches, 10 provinces. OXUS Afghanistan is a part of OXUS Group, a global network of Microfinance Institutions created by ACTED, a leading international NGO operating in 25 countries. OXUS Afghanistan was created with funding from the Microfinance Investment Support Facility for Afghanistan (MISFA), a Government Apex agency set up by international donors in 2003 in order to develop and support the microfinance sector in Afghanistan.
OXUS Afghanistan Provides conventional and Islamic financing. OXUS -Afghanistan has individual and group lending which helps Afghan people have access to finance. OXUS-Afghanistan provides financing for youth and women as women improvement process and support them for better access to finance.
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Branch. He is responsible for all Branch staff, and has to make sure that all set targets are met in terms of outreach, quality of portfolio and profitability

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide leadership and good management to the staff by:
a) Acting as a positive model to the staff and giving the good example;
b) Leading the development of the Branch according to the objective and targets set for in the business plan, including outreach in terms of portfolio and number of customers, quality of portfolio and profitability;
c) Monitoring the Branch team to ensure efficiency and delivery of high quality products and services to clients;
d) Ensuring that all Branch staff receive the training they need to carry out their responsibilities;
e) Ensuring the free flow of information between the team, other Branches, HQ and external organizations;
f) Representing OXUS Afghanistan at all relevant meetings with governmental and traditional officials, MFIs, NGOs, and others.
2) Supervise all the lending activities of the Branch:
a) Manage the team of Loan Officers and Loan Administrator(s);
b) Set the target plan for the team and control the achievement of targets;
c) Maintain at all times the highest quality of portfolio;
d) Control the quality of the services provided by the Branch to its customers;
e) Report the performance to HQ using standard reports on a weekly and monthly basis;
3) Supervise all the administrative activities of the Branch:
a) Conduct staff performance reviews every six (6) months and provide regular feedback to his/her team.
b) Review and sign all administrative documents including, but not limited to contracts for staff, office and transportation.
c) Reviews monthly reports with all Branch team members involved in the process of reporting.
d) Update targets and data of the Branch on a regular basis and ensures that projections are accurate;
e) Ensure that all policies and procedures are being correctly implemented and details them to his/her staff.
f) Conduct regular monitoring of staff and visits clients on a regular basis to ensure quality control of information and activities.
4) Supervise all the financial activities of the Branch office:
a) Create and manage the Branch budget, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and cost effectiveness in
the use of resources on a monthly basis in cooperation with HQ;
b) Review and sign all financial reports;
c) Supervise the management of physical cash;
d) Ensure that the daily, weekly, monthly, or annual reconciliations between the physical cash and cash in accounting software; Make sure information entered in the loan tracking and accounting soft wares are complete and accurate Submit monthly financial and programmatic reports to the appropriate individuals and entities ensuring their accuracy and timeliness.
5) Participate in the institutional development of the OXUS Afghanistan:
a) Participate in meetings and seminars both within the local organization, nationally, and internationally as required,
b) Cooperate fully on audits of field operations and financial operations
d) Strong computer skills including Word, Excel;
e) Excellent communication and writing skills;
f) Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
g) Able to work independently and in a group, willing to take initiative, and energetic;
h) Fluent in English and Dari
a) University Degree (any country) in Business, Management, Finance/Accounting, Education, similar;
b) Minimum (5) years working experience, preferably in the field of finance or for a banking institution
c) Minimum (3) years supervision experience;
