About DABS

Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) is a self-sufficient and independent corporation established under Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’s Joint Stock and Limited liability corporations’ act. This corporation changed legal entity and replaced Da Afghanistan Breshna Mosesa (Afghanistan electricity company), as a national electricity corporation on 15th of Sawr 1387 SH, in accordance with May 04, 2008. Da Afghanistan Breshan sherkat (DABS) commercially manages generation, import, transmission and distribution of the power electricity across the country.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to office management operation
• Support staff in correct usage of records and forms for Admin, stationary, office supplies
• Assist in maintenance of records for all assets and supplies on a daily basis
• Responsible for heavy calendar management, and interaction with both internal and external executives as well as donors and coordinating variety of complex executive meetings of the Administration Department;
• Maintaining office systems, including data management and filing;
• Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations for the PMO Director.
• Assist in maintenance of records for all assets and supplies on a daily basis
• Organize and file all papers and office documents in appropriate files
• Keep track of messages, phone calls and meeting schedules for Managers
• Screening telephone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them based on demand;
• Dealing and handling incoming mails, and post, often corresponding on behalf of the Director.
• Arrangement of meetings at all levels within the organization;
• Organizing and maintaining diaries and making appointments;
• Draft letters in English, Dari and Pashto;
• File and retrieve documents and reference materials;
• Receive and interact with incoming visitors;
• Translating documents from English to national languages and vice versa.

Skills

• Adequate knowledge of governmental procedure and regulations
• Good working knowledge and practical experience of Admin and Staff Management
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build working relations and engage with project related stakeholders’ skills of coordinating and managing the work of staff and consultants

Qualifications

o B.A. in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, Social Science, Education or related field.
o At least 3 year minimum related work experience preferably with Government and international NGOs.
