Job Summary

Reporting to the Legal Specialist, the Program Assistant will ensure IDLO’s gender justice work fits within Afghanistan’s legal and social environment. S/he will actively and regularly engage with members other Gender Justice Department in Kabul and other provinces, government and non-governmental partners, and other stakeholders to collaboratively carry out his/her responsibilities.
The Administrative Assistant ensures that IDLO’s gender justice work fits within Afghanistan’s legal and social environment. The key results have an impact on the overall performance of the Country Office and success in implementation other program and related training and legal strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow up on the implementation of project activities as per agreed upon annual work plan and ensure timely and efficient implementation of the project's activities in accordance with the work plan.
• Support trainings, conferences, stakeholder's meetings and follow up reports.
• Manage technical and logistical support to building the capacity of the AGO EVAW prosecutors and MoWA/DoWA members.
• Prepare agendas and meeting notes, as needed.
• Contribute to the development of the training materials; conduct research to collect material for trainings; help identify suitable experts and facilitate training sessions based on IDLO training methodology.
• Support the IDLO M&E unit with efficient monitoring data and information among all project activities including trainings implemented by hired experts/consultants for the EVAW component.
• Contribute to the preparation and consolidation of progress reports.
• Contribute to documenting project activity findings, and lessons learned.
• Perform any other relevant duties as requested by the supervisor

Skills

• Experience in capacity building and application of adult learning principles training/ capacity development environment;

• Good analytical skills & basic knowledge in entering data on online databases.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Proficient use of IT software and the internet.

• Proven ability to see through tasks set and deliver results.

• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, flexibility and an entrepreneurial spirit.

• Ability and willingness to travel within Afghanistan

• Keen sense of ethics, integrity, and commitment to IDLO’s mandate.

Qualifications

• Completed 12 grade education.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.,
• Fluency in English and Dari is required, knowledge of Pashto and Arabic would be an advantage.
