About Kabul Carpet Export Center

-The Kabul Carpet Export Center project is funded under USAID’s Afghan Jobs Creation Program (AJCP). The Kabul Carpet Export Center (KCEC) remedies critical constraints in the Afghan carpet value chain, and in doing so creates jobs by increasing Afghanistan’s share of the international carpet market. KCEC introduces a single point of contact that links international rug buyers with carpet manufacturers across Afghanistan. The KCEC will assist buyers place orders with manufacturers then monitor production through every stage. The KCEC staff will also oversee communications between the buyers and the manufacturers both to eliminate misunderstandings and to nurture long-term relationships.
The Afghan carpet industry is already Afghanistan’s second largest employer after agriculture. Strengthened by the KCEC, the carpet industry can generate new employment opportunities for women, young people, and both returning refugees and internally displaced Afghans who have carpet-making skills, whether they are in urban or rural areas.

Job Summary

Human Resources (HR) / Admin Assistant support management-level staff and perform a variety of tasks. The primary duty of an HR/Admin Assistant is to perform all admin related activities, but she is also involved in the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for HR executives
• Organize, compile, update company personnel records and documentation
• Manage and update HR databases with different information such as new hires, terminations, sick leaves, warnings, vacation and days off
• Help in payroll management, preparation and payment
• Prepare, manage and store paperwork for HR policies and procedures
• Answer employees’ questions and provide requested information
• Maintain schedule and coordinate calendar activities
• Assist recruiters in posting job ads on careers pages and processing received resumes
• Answer telephone calls and provide needed information
• Create reports for senior management
• Help organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
• Any other tasks assign by her supervisor

Skills

• Previous working experience as an HR administrative assistant for (2) years
• Ability to effectively use computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and HR software
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Act as a reliable and supportive team member
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• HR or similar relevant field
