Job Summary

Objective 1: To strengthen the capacity and skills of each integrated staff member within multiple sectors on areas including conduct assessments, coordinate at the provincial and capital level with all key stakeholder including Health Facility staff, focal point within MoPH, we well as identify gaps in service delivery that can inform adaptive training modules. More specifically,
Objective 2: To Facilitate good quality care to conflict affected persons in Afghanistan and strengthen capacity building at HF level
Objective 3: Contribute to the follow up of the trainings:

Duties and Responsibilities

Objective 1: To strengthen the capacity and skills of each integrated staff member within multiple sectors on areas including conduct assessments, coordinate at the provincial and capital level with all key stakeholder including Health Facility staff, focal point within MoPH, we well as identify gaps in service delivery that can inform adaptive training modules. More specifically,
:
 Support the supervision and identification of psychosocial care needs of the multi sectoral interventions
 Participate in real time evaluations of program implementation
 Work closely with the multi sectoral staff, specifically Project Manager
 Support establishment and facilitate use of beneficiary validation and tracking tool
 Contribute to the organisation and implementation of staff trainings related to protection and gender issues

Objective 2: To Facilitate good quality care to conflict affected persons in Afghanistan and strengthen capacity building at HF level

 Assist the assessment of the capacity or potential of psychosocial services within targeted health facilities, and contribute to improving these psychosocial services in the health facilities with formal onsite training regarding care practises including diffusion of key messages
 Contribute to the initiation and operation of child and mother friendly spaces within mobile clinics and health facilities where support services can be provided
 Participate in the development of training manuals reflecting key learning recorded from GBV team
 Participate in the successful promotion of upcoming project trainings including ensuring successful dissemination of information to men and women
 Support MHCP key indicators within project monitoring and evaluations
Objective 3: Contribute to the follow up of the trainings:
 Support the identification of the beneficiaries and attendants who need specialised attention (unusual behaviour, aggressiveness, isolation, food refusal, etc.);
 Ensure quality of support provided to attendees to GBV services interviews, individual counselling and by referring them to the medical team in sensitive situations;
 Discuss actively with team, Field Manager and MHCP HoD to make any required additional follow ups or adaptive changes.
Objective 4: Contribute to data management of project:
• Support supervision the security and confidentiality files concerning project activities up to date
• Support the proper synthesis and analysis of assessment and monitoring data with technical support on informed analysis, and consequently co-produce evidence based reports
• Feedback any information related to an identified programme development
• Ensure feedback on the daily data collection and openly with team address promptly and effectively any issues or problems where possible

Objective 5: Working with support team / Communication and Reporting
• Share with the base security focal any information on the security context and any event which may have consequences on ACF activities and team safety
• Closely work with base support team in liaisons with PM to ensure LOG/ admin support for the team
• Write the first draft of reports and annexes concerning his program for donor reports and internal reports
• Maintain a local operational communication network and positive relations with the local/governmental authorities, CDCs
• Ensure the timely submission of work progress report, weekly report and monthly report both written & verbally to PM

Skills

Strong experience in and familiarity with GBV in Afghanistan and/or emergency
- Strong experience in and familiarity with psychosocial methodology and capacity development
- Good organization, planning and reporting skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Good team interaction and positive attitude
- Fluent English in speaking and writing and local language as well
- Familiar with word, excel, Skype and email

Qualifications

- Bachelor`s degree in psychology, psychosocial services, Public health or related field from reputed university
- At least 2 years’ experience in NGOs
