About Sinapharma:

SinaPharma, a privately owned pharmaceutical company, will develop, distribute and manufacture generic and brand named drugs in Afghanistan and will be located in Herat. The pharmaceutical industry is ever changing, shadowing the changes in our environment. Understanding and countering these changes with new and improved products is the day to day goal and challenge that affects the pharmaceutical industry. In the forefront of change is technology. Breakthroughs in science, especially within the past 30 years, has greatly affected the industry and products. Pharmaceutical customers are General Practitioners and Patients. Our goals are as follows: • To improve existing drugs for a large number of diseases • To discover new drugs • To decrease the cost of research and development by speeding up the process therefore, getting protection under the patent umbrella for a longer period of time. Our company will increase its market share through targeted advertising geared towards General Practitioners and Patients. We expect to reach profitability by our second year and will generate revenue by 15% in sales each consequent year.

Job Summary:

The Chief Executive Officer will work closely with the Board of Directors, serving as managing director of corporate operations and as the main link between the different divisions within the company. The ideal candidate for this position has previous corporate management experience and a proven track record of effective team management and results-driven leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of a CEO include:

Creating, communicating and implementing the organization's vision, mission, and overall direction;

Leading the development and implementation of the overall company's strategy;

Partner with high-level officers to grow the company, strengthen it and ensure its sustainability;

Represent the company as required, including attendance of important functions, industry events and public meetings;

Work closely with the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) to prepare annual budgets, complete risk analysis on potential investments, and advise the Board of Directors with regard to investment risk and return;

Work closely with Human Resources (HR) regarding hiring practices, payroll and benefit disbursement

Oversee quality control throughout the company, establishing goals for each department in partnership with division managers;

Provide strategic leadership to the company and direct the Executive Management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies;

Serve as strategic leader of the company;

Provide leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of the company are put into practice;

Foster a success-oriented environment within the company holding his/her self and others to highest ethical standards;

Drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives;

Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes;

Collaborate with the Executive and Upper Management teams to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the company;

Motivate and lead high-performance management team;

Attract, recruit and retain required members of the executive team not currently in place;

Provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program;

Assist as required in raising additional capital at appropriate valuations to enable the company to meet sales, growth and market share objectives.
