About NATO Afghanistan - Resolute Support :
Resolute Support is a NATO-led, non-combat mission. It was launched on January 1, 2015, following the conclusion of the previous NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission, and the assumption of full security responsibility by the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF). Its purpose is to help the Afghan security forces and institutions develop the capacity to defend Afghanistan and protect its citizens in a sustainable manner. The mission performs supporting functions in several areas. These include: operational planning; budgetary development; force generation process; management and development of personnel; logistical sustainment; and civilian oversight (in order to ensure the Afghan security forces and institutions act in accordance with the rule of law and good governance).
The incumbent provides direct support to the Journalist Print and Senior Editor in all writing, editing and copy-editing of Psychological operations (SPYOPS) print products.

Ensures the production of proper and appealing articles, texts for PSYOPS print products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
In coordination with editorial team identifies stories for development into content for print products.
Conducts interviews, researches, and writes articles on a variety of themes related to the mission and general situation in Afghanistan.
Compiles, reviews, edits, and translates news, reports and print products.
Monitors local media and covers local news events for SPYOPS.
The employee may be required to perform a similar range of duties elsewhere within the organization at the same grade without there being any change to the contract.
The incumbent may be required to undertake TDY assignments as directed consistent with SPYOPS mission requirements.
The work is normally performed in a typical Office / Secure Facility environment. Slightly Undesirable
Conditions apply. The risk of injury is categorized as: No risk / risk might increase when deployed.
Job Location:Afghanistan, Kabul
Minimum 2 years’ of experience as a professional journalist in a newspaper or magazine publisher and/or other organizations.
English: Good level of written and spoken language skills.
Dari: Very good level of written and spoken language skills.
Pashto: Very good level of written and spoken language skills.
Note: The normal working language within the organisation is English.
University Degree in Journalism or Social Science Field.
