Job Summary:

BCP coordinator would be responsible for the updating and maintenance of business continuity plans. He/she must work closely with critical business units to understand their processes, identify risks, and provide solutions to help manage and minimize those risks. However, once an incident occurs, the BCP coordinator must communicate, manage, and control activities associated with damage assessments and the recovery of critical business functions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operational Risk Management
 Provide a coordination role to support emergency response team (ERT) in the management of crises and serious incidents affecting or likely to affect the institution critical business operations.
 Build a Business Impact Analysis (“BIA”) to assess internal and external threats and the Risk they pose to the Bank, and recommend mitigation strategies to reduce or eliminate identified Risks.
 Work closely with IT Department to ensure their Disaster Recovery Plan for critical systems and applications is consistent with the BC&DR; Plan developed for the Bank.
 Work closely with Business and Support Functions to understand their critical processes, identify Risks and provide solutions to help manage and minimize those Risks.
 Once incident occurs, coordinate and support the activities associated with damage assessment and recovery of critical operations.
 Provide advice and assist other Departments with BC&DR; training, budgets and activities.
 Maintain individual log for documentation.
 Maintain Crisis Management Plans and Business Continuity Plans in accordance with global standards.
 Coordinate the review, maintenance and testing of technology Disaster Recovery Plans for core infrastructure services, working with IT technicians and Infrastructure management to ensure these plans remain valid and fit for purpose.
 Manage the emergency communications system used and ensure that all staff are appropriately covered by this system.
 Conduct regular testing to validate the effectiveness of this system.
 Work with service delivery teams to manage incidents that affect or may affect business operations.
 Promote corporate global awareness of Business Continuity policy, standards, plans, processes and arrangements.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor's degree /Diploma in Information Technology or in a related field OR, the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Candidate with certification related to the field would be preferred.
 More than 3 years of experience of working in Business Continuity, preferably within the financial services sector.
 Experience of working with IT teams to develop, maintain and test IT Disaster Recovery and fall back/failover processes.
 Experience of crisis and/or incident management processes.
 Experience of building and maintaining Business Continuity plans, preferably using tools.
 Ability and willingness to travel to, and work at, various locations where FMFB-A has branch, if required.



The ideal job holder shall possess
 Good knowledge (or willingness to learn) of the financial analyses required in business impact assessment.
 Good computer skills, especially Excel.
 Advanced English in both spoken and written.
 Good team working skills.
