About Checchi and Company Consulting, Inc.:
Checchi and Company Consulting, Inc. (Checchi) was established in 1973 by Vincent V. Checchi to promote social and economic development in developing and transitional countries around the world. Since its inception, the company has completed more than 300 long-term contracts in a wide range of program areas in Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe, including projects in many fragile and post-conflict states. Today the company specializes in rule of law, anti-corruption, and monitoring, evaluation and learning. The company’s principal client is the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). While the company’s practice areas have changed over the years, Vincent Checchi’s original vision continues to inspire and inform our work. We utilize a practical, results-oriented approach that emphasizes sustainable development, guided by our core values of integrity and commitment to excellence. Checchi staff members combine the technical expertise, depth of experience, cultural sensitivity and dedication needed to work effectively in some of the world’s most challenging development environments. Ultimately, we strive to improve people’s lives through outcomes that result in more just, stable and democratic societies.
We seek three (3) Assistants. These are entry-level positions. Men and women of all ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. High school completion is preferred.
One Assistant will be the Personal Assistant of the Chief of Party (CoP). The Personal Assistant (PA) typically carries out administrative work for the CoP. The Personal Assistant will play the role of freeing the CoP’s time from organizing and administrative tasks so that he/she can maximize his/her time on strategic tasks.
The remaining two Assistants will be Team Assistants. The Team Assistants will rotate through the various ADALAT Teams to assist whichever Team needs help. This help is typically in the form of preparation for an event (training, conference, etc) that requires hundreds of phone calls, document production (formatting of documents, printing documents, copying computer files onto flash drives, etc), and helping with communications between ADALAT Team members and their clients.
The position of Assistant is an excellent opportunity for a young man or woman to begin their working career with an international organization that has high professional standards. We are looking for people that want more than just a job and a paycheck: we are looking for ambitious people that are eager to learn and work with others to accomplish ADALAT goals: a more just, more peaceful Afghanistan.
