In this context, MSF Kandahar TB project is recruiting 1 Mental Health & Health Promotion Supervisor for a 1 year posting.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Carry out the functions and tasks associated with the administration of health promotion and mental health services whenever required or needed, in order to optimize the resources, and contributing knowledge and experience.
Implement all the protocols and procedures, and supervise the team to follow the same standards, in order to ensure a high quality of care.
Carry out, monitor and coordinate administrative, information and data collection tasks, and regular reporting, in order to have updated and reliable information about day-to-day activities in the project and output/outcome, and support decision-taking.
Give regular feedback to the line manager, and directly report any issues or incidents.
Contribute to the Health awareness of the MSF staff.
Perform hands-on tasks as part of the team whenever required or needed in order to optimize the resources and to contribute with his/her knowledge and experience.
Oversee the planning and provision of health education and distraction activity sessions for patients and caregivers, and health education for staff.
To follow/put in place hygiene promotion activities for staff, patients and caretakers.
Support staff to perform tasks in accordance with the TB treatment framework.
Facilitate communication between staff, patients and caregivers.
Supervise contact and default tracing processes.
Assist staff to carry out home visits.
Participate in identifying and mapping community leaders, in collaboration with the Project Coordinator (PC) and the PC assistant, as requested.
Support community engagement and and quality improvement in conjunction with the HP strategy.
Contribute to the development and review of HP messages, tools and approaches.
Monitor MSF HP posters in various locations and replace damaged ones as needed.
Support MoPH activities.
HR Management and Staff development
Ensure human resources needs are met and maintain high standards of quality by organizing and coordinating the activities of the team.
Communicating with the HR Admin department about all relevant information.
Evaluating performance, and identifying needs for training.
Provide staff training.
Provide coverage for HP staff when required.
Attend scheduled meetings.
Data Collection and reporting .
Monitor the HP/MH indicators and participate in the monthly reports.
Fulfill project documentation and requirements.
Prepare Weekly data, summarize them in the tally sheet and submit to the statistician based on epidemiological weeks.
Write a summary report of his activities and submit to the line manager every end of the month.
Being the Focal person to meet community leaders.
Establish the link between MSF team and existing network of Community Health worker.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES
o High school diploma (12th class)
o Diploma/Degree in social sciences, education, pedagogy or social work
o English Level – B2
o Dari/Pashtu: oral and written essential
o Medical or paramedical certification
o Similar experience in the field of work
WORKING HOURS AND SALARY: The gross salary for this position is 32,850 AFN (non-negotiable)
The staff will be under MSF contract working 40 Hours a week on roster schedule up to 6 days a week (typically Saturday – Thursday).
