The Reporting Officer is responsible for developing quarterly, annual, progress, financial, and technical reports. The Reporting Officer will be working under the day to day supervision GPI Engineering Unit Head and under overall supervision GPI Program Director.
Provinces to travel:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills including (i) a full working knowledge of English/National Languages is must (ii) fluency in one national language and good reading, writing, listening and speaking skill in the other and (iii), the ability to interact and coordinate with GPI staff, contractors, Government officials, consultants and the donor agency.
Strong business management and negotiating skills.
Excellent technical report writing skills and computer literacy.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Dynamic and flexible self-starter, with a desire to be part of a larger organization
Duties & Responsibilities:
The assignment will involve specifically the following activities:
a) Receiving weekly update from ongoing projects
b) Compiling weekly reports
c) Receiving and compiling monthly reports
d) Analyzing the weekly and monthly report
e) Formatting and finalization the reports
f) Receiving the primary and final handover reports
g) Sending rectification and official letters to IPs
h) Providing answers and feedbacks to reports requested by MCN official and other governmental institutes and donor
i) Produce quarterly, annual, progress, financial, and technical reports for overall GPI projects/program.
j) Ensure that reports are in line with GPI quality control and clearance processes and in line with donor requirements.
k) Ensure that project and program results are reported against project outcome and output indicators and targets and in compliance with MCN results-based reporting framework.
l) Track all reporting requirements of GPI Program portfolio and identify “pending” reporting issues of all closed and on-going projects;
m) Work with the different units to identify the bottlenecks in project reporting and other donor related matters and recommend corrective actions to Management.
n) Work closely with Finance to monitor project expenditures in accordance with budget lines and donor guidelines; ensure effective closure of projects through comprehensive and accurate final reports.
o) Prepare the required program reports for the organizations, donors and relevant authorities;
p) Follow up with staff on required reports to different agencies, for up to date and information of relevance;
q) Consolidate the monitoring report;
r) Evaluate the monitoring reports and suggest recommendation
s) Any other tasks to be Engineering Unit/Director.
Job Location:Afghanistan, Kabul
University degree in Project Management, Public Administration, Businesses Administration or any other related filed; Masters’ degree would be preferred
Minimum of five years’ experience in Project Reporting with Government Developmental and Donor funded projects or any other national/international NGO and UN Agencies
Knowledge of major donor rules and regulations, and the ability to manage donor funding program
Sound knowledge and understanding of the GoA Financial, administration and Procurement Regulations.
