About Shayan Media Service:
Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Chief Media Analyst, the Media Analyst provides analysis of the media landscape with focus on key narratives and trends. The incumbent would monitor and analyze national and local media and would provide comprehensive reports and synopsis. Scope of monitoring covers TV, radio, newspapers, wire services.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Broadcast media monitoring & analysis
The incumbent would monitor and analyze content of national and local TV and radio stations. Monitoring scope would cover reports, investigative reports, exclusive interviews, and talk shows. The Media Analyst would provide high-quality and comprehensive synopsis of TV/radio programs in English.
2. Print media monitoring
The Media Analyst would be required to provide daily synopses of reports, editorials, and op-eds published by national and local newspapers and publications. The incumbent would compile, translate or edit various provincial reports for final submission to the Editor.
3. Translation and transcription
As required, the Media Analyst would translate articles, reports, or speeches into English. The incumbent would also be required, on occasional basis, to provide transcript of statements by key officials.

Strong English writing and editing capability
Basic knowledge of using internet and word processor computer programs
Ability to track narratives and specify relevant content in media reporting
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of professionals towards common goals
Bachelor degree in journalism, political science or any related field.
Demonstrated work experience as journalist, analyst, or in PR & communication.
