Job Summary:

Site Inspector is responsible for Monitoring and Inspection of all the Alignment of High Voltage 220KV Transmission Line from Ghazni to Kandahar during the construction and Implementation phase of the project. Visit the site regularly and coordinate with the Contractor to implement the project in compliance with the contract.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Generally responsible for implementations of all civil works at site.

Monitoring and administering the QA/QC Plan or Program and ensuring incorporated materials on construction projects are in compliance with the plans and specifications.

Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.

Observe, check and ensure that work execution is in accordance with approved methods.

Check that materials delivered are approved and properly stored.

Assist in comparing Research and Materials Alkali Silica Reactivity (ASR) test results.

Review materials specifications and test results.

Maintain standards of safety and comply with the Company’s Health, Safety and Environment Management System requirements.

Observe site safety procedures. Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at the site, as required by the Resident Engineer and/or Project Safety Representative.

Following up the concreting works in a presence of the Engineer or Consultant, slump test and cubes preparation for the compressive test.

Assuring that Steel bars in Tower Foundations are the same such as in construction drawing.

Take care of installation quality inspection of Foundation for different Type of Electric Towers.

Measure work done when required.

Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.

Prepare inspection reports and site records.

Ballast inspection, coordination with Project execution team, contractor teams, QA head office for reporting

Supervision of contractor installation and commissioning work as per Instruction manual.

Daily / weekly / monthly reporting to Manager.

Conducting and participating in site meetings and getting the QA observation closures/status/further project plan activity for reporting to QA.

Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built’ drawings.

Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 3 years of experience in construction supervision, monitoring and site Inspection of infrastructure projects.
