Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead the project Staff on their daily activities.
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall project activities on site.
Financial and administrative oversight of the project.
Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of the Project and implementation of recommendations.
Closely monitor project activities against the desired outputs/results on required management actions and necessary modifications;

Forecasting & Budgeting
Project Management in construction
Ensure the implementation of decisions made management
Recruitment and supervision of project management staff and consultants;
Prepare monthly progress updates, quarterly and annual project reports for the Project, as well as other information as may be requested;
Plan, organize and oversee the necessary administrative and other logistical support to consultancy missions, workshops, overseas learning and other project activities;
Supervise the work of the Project Management Team through regular feedback and performance assessment.
Prepare separate progress and financial reports as may be required under cost-sharing agreements with donors.
Monitors progress against milestones and deadlines
Establishes and maintain relationships with a broad range of people to understand needs, identify resources and gain support
Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.
Planning and organizing: Develops clear goals consistent with agreed strategies.
Judgment: Ability to identify key issues in a complex situation and comes to the hear of the problem quickly.
To ensure Program strategies are implemented according to the manual, plans and the content of the agreement.
To supervise monitoring system and information flow system within the program and to ensures that a monitoring process is in place and data are collected and treated in a systematic manner.
In charge of preparation and drafting of program reporting.
Make recommendations on how to correct deficiencies and resolve problems during project running.
Responsible for all operational aspects of the projects.
Ensuring procurement procedures and financial requirements are being met.
Keep the main office updated on the work progress and other issues on site.
Review all the submittal and tests at all stages of the inspection.
Ensuring all the materials used and work performed are as per the project requirements and specifications.
Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the project labor force and the sub-contractors’ works.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and other reports of the progress of construction as required. Provide digital photographic records to support reports.
Participate in meetings and conduct discussions with local security authorities, as appropriate, on matters.

Qualifications:


At least 8 years of Engineering/Scheduling experience, Experience in USACE projects is preferred.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Higher degree is preferable.

Good general understanding of Cost Management, Estimating and Change Control.

Good understanding and experience of using software.

Good spoken and writing communication skill in English Language.
