TATEKAN Construction Company is an Afghan owned company with more than 10 years of experience in construction field. TATEKAN has implemented various projects from Local, USACE, UN, NATO, ISAF and International donors in Afghanistan.
Provinces to travel:
Having 4-Years construction estimation experience is highly preferred.
Familiarity with US Army Corps of Engineers designs, price schedule and technical requirements.
Computer skills using Auto CAD, MS Word, MS Excel, internet base research and e-mail.
Estimating skills and knowledge:
Reading of and quantification from engineering document
Defining of scope
Usage of breakdown structures
Obtaining / using cost data and vendor quotes
Data analysis & benchmarking
Labor productivity analysis
Normalization (inflation, metallurgy, location, etc.)
General factors and ratios
Equipment factored and capacity factored estimating

Duties & Responsibilities:
Assessing and analyzing provided construction projects costing tables.
Good understanding of RFP’s of USACE, USAID, WB and other donors RFP specifications.
Working knowledge of US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects
Preparation and evaluation of Bill of Quantities.
Prepared detailed cost breakdown as per the scope including detailed material take off, activity wise resource requirements, indirect costs etc.
Facilitating, calculating and measuring of prices per unit cost
Application of appropriate methods of material/labor percentage per construction jobs’ units
Formulate and calculate the volume quantity of construction works based on architecture and engineering drawings specification
Study, assess determine and calculate the volume quantities of the jobs done on the site, the remaining vs. total quantities estimated.
Prepare financial proposal including statements, planning inputs, data sheets, techno commercial qualifications in coordination with relevant department
Evaluation and Monitoring according to volumetric quantities of Structure
Study, assess, determine and calculate the quantities discrepancies between adding extra and/or cutting the jobs per contract and offers’ provision.
Site supervision of ongoing projects as required by the office.
Submission of weekly, monthly and annual reports to relevant sections
To assist the invoice in the preparation of the actual billing of documents
Job Location:Afghanistan, Kabul
Bachelor’s degree Civil Engineering or a related field is desirable.
At least Four years of direct relevant field.
Ability to oversee all aspects of construction projects (technical design, planning, budgeting, logistic and implementation.
Have strong knowledge of AutoCAD, and performing material takeoffs with CAD.
Fluency in Dari, Pashto and English is required.
