RIAABG AFG seeks to hire an Associate Attorney to assist its senior staff in relation to new and ongoing cases related to corporate and commercial law.

Skills Description:

 Ability to work alone and as part of a team
 Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
 Ability to conduct legal research and draft documents in English
 Ability to translate documents into English and vice-versa
 Effective computer skills including Microsoft Office, Internet and email.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 Undertake duties and responsibilities as per directions of the senior staff
 Draft letters, briefs, memos and contracts
 Participate in conferences and meetings with clients, government sector and private entities
 Manage matters related to cases being conducted by the firm
 Conduct legal research and presenting data to the peers and senior staff
 Draft case summaries
 Provide comprehensive legal support to colleagues as and when required.

Job Location:

Afghanistan, Kabul

Qualifications:

 Bachelors Degree (Law)
 LLB Degree with a minimum of two years of professional experience in the field of commercial law; Master’s degree preferred
 Membership of Afghanistan Independent Bar Association (“AIBA”)
 A good understanding of all areas of law, including corporate and ADR
 Excellent command of English, and good command of local languages (Pashto and Dari)
 Ability to produce high quality, well-written legal documents and reports in English
 Detail oriented with strong communication, research, analytical and writing skills
 Must have experience in drafting letters, briefs, contracts and case summaries
 Excellent academic credentials from a national or international recognized university/institution
