About Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority:

Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority is a government agency, and Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) was recently established based on the newly approved Civil Aviation Law (CAL) as an independent authority to manage the Civil Aviation Activities in the country. The Civil Aviation Law was endorsed by Parliament in October 2012 and approved by H.E. President Hamid Karzai in December 2012, and following the presidential confirmation, it was published in the official gazette of the Ministry of Justice in January 2013. The ACAA is now functioning independently under its approved structure.

Job Summary:

An airworthiness inspector should have the relevant knowledge, background and appropriate experience related to aircraft continuing airworthiness management, as well as experience in the actual performance of maintenance and repair of airframes, power plants, and aircraft systems or components.
The inspector should, where permitted, hold a technical license with relevant airframe and/or power plant ratings.

Qualifications of Operation Inspector;

Aircraft maintenance programme development, approval, and control, including applicable reliability programmes.

Approval of modifications and repairs.

Maintenance release.

Applicability of airworthiness directives and operational directives with a continuing airworthiness impact.

Correction or deferment of defects.

Coordination of scheduled maintenance, the application of airworthiness directives, the replacement of life-limited parts and the inspection of components.

Management of continuing airworthiness records.

Mass and balance statement management.

Airworthiness requirements of relevant parts of operations specifications.

Possess a bachelor degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering or aviation.

Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing) and to possess at least ICAO English Proficiency Level-4 or B1 of the American University in Kabul.

Candidate’s age should not exceed 45 years.
