About American University of Afghanistan:
The American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) is a private, non-profit university offering an American-style liberal arts education. We opened our doors in 2005 and currently offer 4 undergraduate academic majors and a new MBA program. Construction has recently begun on a new 75 acre international campus.
The Student Finance Department at the American University of Afghanistan is accepting applications for the position of Intern. The Intern will work under general supervision of Student Finance Officer. The incumbent shall have good analytical and problem-solving skills and shall be able to prepare daily students financial reports. The incumbent shall follow up with students regarding their tuition fees payments. S/he is required to prepare semester wise outstanding balance statements for all students and etc.
Key outcomes include:
Maintain and update a standard filing system of financial records, invoices, contracts and agreements.
Effective management of tracking sheets, statements, and financial reports.
Maintaining a proper recording system.
Provinces to travel:
Ability to solve the problems.
Advance level of expertise in Microsoft Excel.
Able to work under pressure and maintain scheduled deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills in local languages and English.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and students.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Follow-up with students for their payments through phone and email
Collection and review of financial aid forms from the students
Responding to student inquiries through email and/or phone
Follow-up with students for outstanding payments
Back-up for data entry and reconciliation assistants in their absence
Assist with data entry assistant in Power Campus Assessments
Student statement preparation
Issuance of Meal Cards
Bank and cash statement reconciliations
Scanning documents on daily basis
Semester and monthly receivables reconciliation
Financial aid data processing
A high level of confidentially is required
Perform other duties as assigned

Recently graduated with a university-level business degree or passed a minimum of three papers of ACCA.
Prior work bank experience is helpful but not required
