AfghaNet is looking for 2 ISP Intern responsible for the installation and support/maintenance of internet service clients. Your primary focus will be site installation, network implementation and integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside engineers and other team members working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.
Provinces to travel:
Enough knowledge of Network configurations
Enough knowledge of Wireless devices
Professional knowledge of Open Source Methodology
Enough knowledge with Network Reporting Protocols
Enough knowledge of Point to point devices, Ubiquiti / InfiNet etc
Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure.
Enough knowledge of CISCO hierarchical campus design.
Enough knowledge of VLAN, Trucking Protocol and technologies at Enterprise Switching environment.
Enough knowledge of Cisco devices including Next Generation Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless AP,
Enough knowledge of routing protocols.
Enough Knowledge of Cisco Switching technologies.
Maintain complex switching environments
Results oriented, team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Enough knowledge of frequencies
Familiarity with continuous integration
Duties & Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the ISP Interns are outlined as follows:
Site Survey: Go to the site and do a survey in order to check line of sight
IT assessment: Do the IT assessment process for Offices/Organizations to design enhanced Service.
Installation: Install the internet connection perfectly with the nearest access point (tower) and optimize
Internet Speed Check: Do a speed test to check the right amount of the bandwidth is allocated to the client
Client Troubleshooting: Solve the internet connection issues of the clients and troubleshoot the problem
Check List Form: Fill out the check list form for the client to ensure all the required devices are installed properly
Timing Confirmation with Client: Confirm the site-survey and installation timing with the client
Scheduled Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance of network after the confirmation of exact time frame.
Primary Connections Monitoring: Monitor primary link connection in order to have minutes’ update of the upstream.
Power System Maintenance: to be responsible for weekly routine checkup of the generators of Base Stations
Communications: Politely and speak clearly and confidently at all times through email, phone, skype.
Timing: Being on time and Complete duties within the time constraints provided by your Line Manager.
Documentation: Document all steps taken to resolve all trouble tickets.
Dedication: Provide afterhours, holiday work and support as needed.
Support shift: Provide night shift support as per schedule.

Bachelor in Computer Science (Network)
